Here’s what’s really going on:

1️⃣ Your Body Thinks It’s About to Die
Yes, seriously. That little lens triggers a fight-or-flight reaction in your nervous system. Your brain thinks, “We’re under attack!” and boom—your mouth, brain, and ability to remember your own name all go AWOL.

2️⃣ You’re Not Bad at This—You’re Just Unpractised
This isn’t a skill issue—it’s a chemical issue. Your brain literally can’t send the right signals until your body learns it’s safe.

3️⃣ Exposure is the Cure
Like any fear, you beat this by facing it—again and again. Stay in that discomfort zone until your body realises you’re not dying, you’re just filming.

4️⃣ Batch Film, Warm Up, and Be a Bit Silly
Give yourself at least an hour to warm up. Dance, sing, shake, act like a muppet. It helps those chemicals move along faster.

🎯 You are not “bad” on camera. You’re just in human mode. And guess what? Even I, with 20+ years of this, still need warm-up time.
