Quick answer: Creating your course content is the fun part. It’s everything after that which eats your week: uploading videos, writing lesson descriptions, adding transcripts and timestamps, swapping thumbnails, setting prices and publishing. The part of course creation nobody warns you about

Here’s what nobody tells you when you decide to create an online course.

Recording the content isn’t the hard bit. You know your stuff. You can talk about it all day.

The hard bit is the admin that comes after. Logging into the course platform. Finding the right course, then the right module, then the right lesson. Uploading a giant video file and waiting. Writing a lesson description. Typing out timestamps so students can jump to the bit they need. Attaching the transcript. Making a thumbnail. Checking the price. Hitting publish. Then doing it all again for the next lesson.

Multiply that by 20 lessons and a membership that needs updating every month, and you can see why so many brilliant educators have a course that’s been “nearly finished” for a year.

I’ve taught more than 280,000 students in 181 countries, and I can tell you, the tech and admin is where most people get stuck. Not the teaching.

So it genuinely made me squeal today when I realised that this whole layer of work can now be handed to AI.

What my Course Manager did today

GrokBot now manages my courses for me.

It can go into my course portal inside Tekmatix and add, delete, edit and publish lessons. It can add videos and thumbnails, and set pricing. It has even added full video transcripts, timestamps, video annotations and uploaded resources to my lessons for me.

Here’s a real example from today, 21 October 2026.

I re-recorded my Claude CoWork Masterclass because so much has changed in AI lately. I recorded it rough and raw on Zoom. My Video Editor agent then edited the raw recording in Descript.

Then my Course Manager agent took over. This is what it did to one lesson:

• Found the right lesson. It updated the existing lesson in my Claude CoWork Masterclass rather than creating a messy duplicate.
• Added the new video. The freshly edited 41:07 version went straight onto the lesson.
• Attached the transcript. The full transcript went on as a PDF under the lesson’s attached files, so students can read, search and skim.
• Wrote the lesson description. A summary of the lesson plus all 33 timestamps, placed neatly between my existing intro line and my sign-off.
• Kept my thumbnail. It checked first. I’d already set one, so it left it alone.
• Left the lesson published. The lesson stayed published the whole time, and it sent me a screenshot of the finished lesson so I could check it.

I didn’t log in. I didn’t upload anything. I didn’t type a single timestamp.

And here’s the bit I want you to really notice. The summary and timestamps weren’t generic AI filler. My AI worked from my own recording and my own transcript. It was describing what I actually teach, in the order I actually teach it. That’s why it’s useful to my students.

How I set it up

I didn’t learn any new software to make this happen. I just talked to GrokBot.

GrokBot runs on its own cloud computer, so it keeps working even when my laptop is closed. I’ve connected it to the tools I use to run my business, including my course portal. Then I created agents, each with its own job, the same way you’d hire a team.

• My Video Editor agent edits my recordings.

• My Workflows and Web Manager agent builds, checks and fixes my automations, pages and funnels.

They also talk to each other. Today my Course Manager messaged my Video Editor and my Marketing Manager directly, so the video, the lesson and the marketing all stayed in sync without me playing messenger.

Each agent has my rules written into it. For my Course Manager, that includes things like “never create a duplicate lesson”, “keep student-only resources private”, “use my real headshots for thumbnails” and “show me before anything new goes live”.
