Let’s be honest.

Most business owners are looking for some magical marketing secret.

A hidden funnel.

A viral social media trick.

A new AI tool.

A fancy advertising strategy.

But here’s the truth.

Most of the time, the answer is far simpler.

You’re not getting in front of enough people.

That’s it.

Because no matter how amazing your product is…

No matter how brilliant your service is…

No matter how passionate you are about helping people…

None of it matters if nobody knows you exist.

I’ve always said:

πŸ’œ No marketing, no money.

Every single dollar you earn in your business comes because of marketing.

You can have the best business in the world.

The best team.

The best systems.

The best vision.

The best product.

But if nobody sees it…

Nobody buys it.

Simple.

And sometimes I think we massively overcomplicate this.

When I first arrived in Australia from the UK, I had:

❌ No money

❌ No friends

❌ No clients

❌ No network

❌ No business

I didn’t even have a mobile phone.

But I still had to figure out how to pay rent.

And I still had to figure out how to build a business.

So I asked myself a very simple question:

“Where are my customers already gathering?”

Because marketing doesn’t have to start online.

In fact, some of the fastest business growth I’ve ever experienced came from putting myself directly in front of the people I wanted to work with.

I realised there were conferences happening that were full of my ideal clients.

Hundreds of them.

All gathered together in one place.

Now, I couldn’t afford the ticket.

I couldn’t even afford the transport.

But where there’s a will, there’s usually a way. 🀣

Long story short…

I found myself riding a bicycle to a conference, finding a creative way inside, and spending two days talking to as many people as possible.

And do you know what happened?

I walked away with hundreds of contacts.

Within weeks I landed my first six-figure contract.

Which shortly after became my first seven-figure contract.

Now before anyone starts looking for abandoned bicycles and conference lanyards…

That’s not the lesson. 🀣

The lesson is this:

I went where my audience already was.

That’s the marketing strategy.

Not the bicycle.

Not the conference.

Not the lanyard.

The strategy.

Because most business owners spend too much time creating content and not enough time putting themselves directly in front of potential customers.

Ask yourself:

πŸ‘‰ Where are my ideal clients gathering?

πŸ‘‰ What events do they attend?

πŸ‘‰ What Facebook groups are they in?

πŸ‘‰ What LinkedIn communities are they participate in?

πŸ‘‰ What podcasts do they listen to?

πŸ‘‰ What conferences do they attend?

πŸ‘‰ What associations are they members of?

Because if your audience is already assembled somewhere…

Why are you trying to build an audience from scratch?

Go where they already are.

Now let’s talk about the second mistake I see all the time.

Business owners doing marketing with no call to action.

They post.

They write.

They create videos.

They share ideas.

And then…

Nothing.

No next step.

No invitation.

No offer.

No lead magnet.

No link.

No action.

Marketing without a call to action is just a hobby.

Every piece of marketing should answer:

πŸ‘‰ What do I want this person to do next?

Do you want them to:

πŸ’œ Join your email list?

πŸ’œ Download something?

πŸ’œ Book a call?

πŸ’œ Attend an event?

πŸ’œ Watch a webinar?

πŸ’œ Join your membership?

πŸ’œ Make a purchase?

Because visibility only becomes revenue when there’s a pathway for people to take the next step.

The businesses making the most money are usually not doing more complicated marketing.

They’re simply:

πŸ’œ Getting in front of more people

πŸ’œ Showing up consistently

πŸ’œ Having clear calls to action

πŸ’œ Following up

πŸ’œ Repeating the process

Over and over again.

So if you’re wondering how to make more money this year, don’t start by asking:

“How do I make more sales?”

Start by asking:

πŸ‘‰ What action do I want them to take next?
