ONE Simple Thing That EVERY Successful Business Owner Does DAILY

If you want to be wildly successful in your business endeavours, and reach every goal that you ever set for yourself, then you need to nail your “OBT”, and check your tasks against it EVERY single day…

The OBT (this is a coined Sarah Cordiner term!), stands for “One Big Thing”.

The “One Big Thing” is:

“What is your ONE goal for the next 12 months?”

This should be a measurable result that you want to have.

For example, my OBT (one big thing) is: “in the next 12 months, I will have X number of people in my Edupreneur Academy”.

That’s it. It’s one simple goal.

What is yours?

You will have X number of people in your course or coaching program?
Maybe it will be X figure of income every single month.
Maybe it will be, get picked up by a book publisher.
Maybe it will be “I will have 10 public speaking gigs that I get paid for”.

So see how it has to be very specific. .

The more numeric you can make it the easier it is for you to every single day, break down and track exactly how close you are getting to that OBT.

So thinking back to the “12 Week Year” that I mentioned in a previous video, we now have to move past the 12 month plan, and break it down far more than that.

A year is too far away.
It makes us lazy.
It’s too easy to say “I’ll get to that next week”.

To reach success, we must remember that every HOUR counts.

Every single hour counts as to whether or not we get that particular goal.

So let’s break it down.

Get your annual figure goal (number of clients, students or dollars), and divide it by 4.
This will show you how many/much you need to get per quarter – your “12 Week Year”.

How many students do you need to get per quarter to actually reach that goal?

Then take that yearly figure again, divide it by 12.
How many clients per month do you need to get?
How much money per month need to get?

Take the annual figure again and divide it by 52.
And that is going to give you your weekly figure of how many people you need or how much money you need to earn.

And this can be a bit of a reality check.

The final calculation, is to take your annual figure and divide it by 365.

And see now every single day, how much money you need to earn, how many people you need to get.

Now, this might make you rethink your goal.

And by the way, if it doesn’t scare you, it’s not big enough.

So don’t change it just because it’s terrifying.

Now, grab a piece of paper and write on it:

“To reach my OBT. I need to get _ (the figure per day)”.

Think of your business goal as a daily, and even hourly activity.

Because if you don’t, the days will run away. The weeks will runaway, the months will run away and before you know it, everything has passed, along with your dreams!
