I’m 35 minutes into delivering an online workshop when a bead of suncream-laden sweat dripped into my eyeball and started eroding my retina…. 

Thanks to Mercury currently being in the microwave (retrograde), my aircon, like everything else, has decided that it’s broken until December 15th.

…So today, I am giving myself an award for delivering a 2-hour session from Satan’s armpit.

Go me!

Anyway, it’s Day 3 of my 30-day ‘Behind the Business’ series, where I share some of my daily activities in running a 7-figure business, one laughably imperfect but productive day at a time. 

Here’s what I did, taught, and learned today to keep my empire on track — so that you can steal some ideas too. 

1. DO Something: Plan Your 2025 Events Calendar

Planning is everything. And I always plan at least a YEAR ahead for my events, workshops and social media marketing. 

Without a clear plan, you will spend your year feeling like you are herding mosquitos in a swamp, living reactively and never feeling like you are getting anywhere – or even knowing if you are. 

So today, my ‘do something’ activity was to finalise all the dates for my 2025 events calendar — everything from in-person events to online workshops for my Legends Lab Academy members. 

Now that I know exactly what I’ll be delivering for the year ahead, I can start creating the sales pages, sign-up forms, email automations, promoting them, adding them to event sites, creating my social media content around them and basically getting organised for having the most opportunity possible for sales.

The sooner you get these events out, the longer your lead time is – and the more time you have to get people signing up.

💡 Pro tip: 

Block time in your calendar NOW for 2025. 

Decide what you’re doing, when you’re doing it, and who you’re doing it for. 

It’s like giving Future You a roadmap to success — minus a few less tears and existential dread than normal.

2.TEACH Something: Map Your Magic 2025

Today’s in my ‘teach something’, I ran a workshop for my Leegnds Lab members –  Map Your Magic 2025. 

I took members through my exact annual planning process, which I’ve perfected over 20 years of running a speaking and education-based business to keep myself sane(ish) and successful.

Here’s the gist:

1. Start with your OBT (One Big Thing). This is your overarching goal for the year.
2. Break it down into smaller chunks: 90-day plans, monthly goals, and daily tasks.
3. Make everything revolve around your numbers — whether it’s revenue, subscribers, or sales targets.
4. Work out what your conversion rate is (if you don’t know, base it on 1% and get Tekmatix which shows you on your dashboard)
5. Then work out how many people you need to get in front of to actually hot your revenue goal

Don’t panic – the Map Your Magic workshop shows you exactly how to do all of that (and more) to ENSURE that you reash your target, rather than just set random goals that ended up wherever it is that half you socks go.

3. LEARN Something: The One Thing, by Gary Keller

Learning is earning, my friends. So I do both every day, because I’ma greedy mare who KNOWS that you CAN have everything.

Today, I revisited an old favourite book: The One Thing by Gary Keller. 

This book is very simply, about simplifying your life and business to amplify your results.

Keep it simple stoopid.

ALL of us entrepreneurs have an intergalactic skillset for over-complicating everything at an intergalactic level.

For the love of aircon, stop complicating shizz.  

This book basically reminds you to focus on ONE goal or task that will make other goals easier — or even redundant. As the saying goes, “Where attention goes, energy flows.”

This concept is the backbone of my ‘OBT’ methodology. 

It’s about cutting the fluff, simplifying your operations, and channeling your energy into the actions that will move the needle the most. 

If you haven’t read this book yet, grab it — and don’t blame me if your highlighters run out.

Multitasking can be magical when it involves a nice environment – and some fresh air…. Ok, and some well-framed b00bies…. 😂😂😂😂😂
