It’s 5am on my first day of being 39 years old, and since nobody bought me a billionaire boyfriend for my birthday, I have to get to work. 

Welcome back to this 30-day series I’m calling ‘Behind the Business’ where I share 3 daily behind-the-scenes activities I got up to running a 7-figure business, so you can pinch some for yourself.

Here’s what went down today in my ‘do something, teach something and learn something’ life I live.

1. Do Something: Update Your YouTube Channel Settings

Ah December…. The month of the year when you realise how much you overestimated your ability to get shizz done, and underestimated how quickly a year goes by….

So ignoring all of the things I won’t achieve in the next 4 weeks, and placing them on the ‘Problems For Future Sarah To Worry About’ list, I chose a ‘do something’ task today that was just an ‘update something’ activity.

I updated my YouTube channel tags, keywords, description and default upload settings. 

YouTube is now the 3rd largest search engine (and traffic generator) in the world;

coming after AI search as number 1,

and Google search as number 2…. 

So you better make sure that hacking SEO by having YouTube videos, is in your marketing strategy for 2025. 

Go to your YouTube channel > click on Settings – and then update your:

• channel description
• channel keyword tags;
• and check your default video upload descriptions, links, keywords, and tags are updated too

These little tweaks can have a MASSIVE impact on your visibility and SEO (aka free traffic).

2. Teach Something: How To Get Your Custom GPTs To Connect To Eachother 

Every day I have ‘teach something’ on my ‘to-do’ list.  

Why? This helps you stay in a place of ‘authority’ and ‘the source’ in the eyes of your audience.

Today I made a quick video to teach: ‘How get your custom GPTs to talk to each other’!

…. Say whaaaatttt???!!

I remember when I used to say ‘I wish I could clone myself’… > which now you can do by creating a custom GPT that is trained in everything you know.

Then I wondered, ‘how cool would it be to get my clones to work together?’….  > And now you can do this too, but getting all of your bots to share their knowledge base.

I know, it’s sci-fi AF, and I am as turned on by it as I am terrified of it. 

I published this video on YouTube showing how to get your custom ChatGPTs to communicate with each other and and share information — yes, your bots can now have their own watercooler chats, all while working harder for you.

This tip is a game-changer for anyone who’s creating custom GPTs (hint: you should be).

3. Learn Something: No BS Tips on People and Profit – by Dan S. Kennedy

Every day, I learn something new — because learners are earners, baby. 

Today, I was soaking up the brilliance of Dan S. Kennedy’s book: No BS on Managing People and Profits (the audiobook version, because multi-tasking is life).  

I made a BBQ chicken salad whilst Dan made me cry.

Warning, this book is NOT for the easily offended.  

It is called ‘No BS’ for a reason – he genuinely is SAVAGE in how he runs business and how he teaches.  

Grow a thick skin if you read or listen to this one. Oh, and get ready to sack everybody 😂 😂

Dan’s main point in this book is that business is about profit, and profit alone.  

If it’s not making profit, it’s useless. 

If your staff arent making your business a profit, they need to go. 

If you care more about people’s feelings and fragility than profit, then you’re useless as a leader.  

I told you it was SAVAGE.  Don’t say I didn’t warn you – but honestly – read it. 

It’s a seriously real and raw reality checks about running a business, and he is basically a Godfather in the business world.

Listen to your elders, chicas. Even if they hurt your feelings.  

Bonus: Enjoy something

Now of course, I did a LOT more than just this today…. including to ‘enjoy something’.

EVERY Monday morning I host a ‘Walkie-Talkies’ on the Gold Coast.  This is a walk and swim on the beach, where we talk business AND do exercise – because I do NOT have time for all those ‘can I pick your brain over a coffee’ requests.  This way, I get to do both. 

You should totally start one where you live!

Not Feeling Very Productive?

And if getting out of bed, eating something and even getting dressed today was your ‘win’ today, I truly salute you my darling friend.
