Effective Event Planning: How to Successfully Promote Upcoming Webinars and Workshops for the First Quarter

One of the most powerful ways to set yourself up for consistent leads and sales is to plan and promote your events at least three months in advance.

Whether you’re hosting free webinars, paid workshops, or in-person events, the key is to get them visible early—so people can mark themselves as “interested” and you can build momentum before you’ve even finished creating the sales page.

Step 1: Finalize the Event Details

  • Write your event description (keep it clear, engaging, and benefit-driven).
  • Create a cover image that stands out in feeds and on event pages.

Step 2: Publish Everywhere You Can

Post your event on:

  • Your website’s events page (recommended)
  • Facebook Events
  • LinkedIn Events
  • Public event sites like Eventbrite, Humantix, or Ticketek

Step 3: Use a “Coming Soon” Placeholder if Needed

If your sales page or checkout link isn’t ready yet, publish the event anyway. In the link field, write “Coming Soon” or “Opt-in Coming Soon”. This way:

  • People can still mark themselves as interested.
  • When the link is ready, you can comment in the event with the sales link—everyone marked as interested will be notified.

Step 4: Stay Three Months Ahead

Make it a habit to always have the next quarter’s events live and visible. This gives you maximum exposure time, and allows you to promote and re-share without scrambling at the last minute.

💡 Pro tip: I personally have all my events written up until May 2025, which means my team can now focus entirely on promotion and sales rather than last-minute content creation.
